im blowing fuses and im tracing down simple problem by problem where everyones got their stuff.
i have a 100a wafer fuse in front that is NOT blowing, then i have it into a distrb. block which im using for 8 ga. to the amp. the fuses are 60a blowing in the dstrb block. the ground isnt great but it should work (yes its 4 ga.) they blow even when the amp is turned down. i also have the two smaller fuses in the amps 5 more amps then they should be. (25 instead of 20) -------------------- i am awesome

I would put the right size fuses in the amp. Using a fuse rated higher is asking for trouble. Check all of the power connections for loose strands of wire sitcking out. They can cause a short which will blow the 60 amp fuse. The reason the 100 isn't blowing is because the problem is after the 60 and they are doing their job. Also check the distro block itself. If seen people crack the plastic installing them and when they hit a bump it would short out and blow the fuse. |
