![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last week, my mechanic looks at me and said, "how much will a Skyline cost me to bring in?" I said, over 1.1 million yen. But, we are only allows to bring in cars 99 and up now. Remember the 4yrs restriction for cars? Mechanic: Not bad. Good! Good! ![]() Mechanic: I am looking for a 2.0l RWD. I finally pulled up some price on the it today and look! Just a tab more dollars than a 6g celica and on par with a 7g celica. Sight for info: http://www.jbskyline.net http://www.jbskyline.net/R34/GTR/Showroom/ http://www.skylinegtr.com http://www.skyline-nissan.com Now, this is bad. I am a Toyota lover. I have research toyota engines and mods extensively on the Supra, Celica, levin and BZ Touring wagon. I have only look at the stats on the Skyline. All of my magazines have the Beast on it in blue. (Super Street, Turbomagazine, Sports Compact Car, Modified Mag) My problem is, my research have to start all over again. I know that the engine are reliable and there are alot of mods available for them and the looks bad as ever. It can send chills down your spine. With the same price existing and more for the Skyline GT over th Celica, should I purchase one for 2003 - 2004? What do you guys think? I believe my prob is that I really never like the celica except the engine and since I could not get a Supra, I had to settle for its little hidden sister? My question goes out to the true celica lovers like Charlie and others. Would you leave out your Celi and buy a Skyline? It is a real import car from JAPAN! -------------------- West_Minist

skylines are AWD and after they launch they switch to RWD at a certain speed
they put out a lot of power for a 2.6l engine but why go thorugh all the hassle? a supra may be more common but they are still pretty rare(i see 1 supra for every 15 6th gen celicas and about 100 civics and 70 integras/RSX's for every celica) the silvia engine, the sr20det, make around 250hp and a lot less torque at high rpms(which is where all the power is) the 3sgte makes a lot of power down low which to me is more important. both engines are the same size and have the same quality Both the 3sgte and the sr20det EAT VTEC(depending on the car they are in, the 240sx is heavy) respect/fear them both -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition
