ifigetteh arospeed coilovers, will i really need the bearing as a necessity or will they be fine with out?!?!?

Because that doesn't help the spring any. The top perch and the bottom perch need to be able to move independently. Ground control relies on the stock bearing to do this but this solution obviously doesn't work. The bearings actually solve two problems in one. They allow the top and bottom perches to move independently and they prevent the spring from binding in compression. All coil springs twist as they compress and this can cause inconsistent handling or popping noises in compression.
You won't suffer any damage without the bearings, but your coilovers will likely pop when you turn at low speed (high steering angles). There are other solutions to this problem, but this is the best one that I've found. |
