I used to own a '95 GT automatic and it ran way lower RPM's to get the same speed as my '99 GT Manual. Anybody else at 4000RPM's at 80 miles an hour? Could there be something wrong with my tranny or is it just in the gearing?
-Negative By the way my '99 manual is way faster than my old sluggish automatic which was the whole point in selling my '95. -------------------- ![]() |

macavely- I completely agree with you. The only reason I bought my '95 auto was because it was the only one that was in good shape and available in Houston when I finally laid my '86 GTS (w/3S-GTE swap) to rest. I ended up buying my '99 GT in New Orleans.
back to subject: If all these numbers are true - what does that make the stock top speed at say red line? Auto: I remember at least 125MPH but don't remember at what RPM GT: I will find out on the way to Austin (car show) this weekend hopefully. -------------------- ![]() |
