there is no need for a iridium plug unless you are turbo..and turbo guys have found that the cheap copper ones have better performance.  They just have to be changed more.

don't you need colder plugs for boost? also, i run the bosch platinum plus 4's.
adam

yeah i'm runnin two step colder plugs .030 gap. alright, iridium performs better they are more duarble and can be used for loads of miles. 10 bucks a plug.
what does a good copper plug cost? 3 bucks about. If you replace them three times in the one time you replace the iridium your saving money. The conductivity of iridium is better. The spark will jump the gap easier so with the energy it would normaly take to jump the gap left over you get a larger spark.

thats just what ive been reading though. so dont take my word for it.

platinum on the other hand people seem to dislike. I ran the +4's in my ST and it was fine no trouble at all. what i liked about those plugs were u had four prongs. its not so you get four simultaneous sparks. its so if one fouls out you have a few back ups.
