i got this guy who is my friend's friend and he is selling his mitsubishi 97 eclipse RS for 4K i can prob bring it down to 2500 or 2700 it has 94,000 miles and my friend says he has kept it nice. he is selling it with his uninstalled cold air intake and sony head unit and 2 subs and and amp i forgot wut they are i think they are audiobaun. my celica right now has 97,000 and i bought it for 2,700. shoudl i sell my car and get his or should i just stay with mine? it has 140HP and i could add a turbo but i heard eclipse break down easily so im not sure.

The engine in that car is supposedly a lot more reliable than the problem-plagued 4G63T that resides in the turbocharged second generation Eclipses/Talons. My mechanic swears by that engine, and has one in his Neon that pushes 432 wheel horsepower.
That said, it's still probably not as reliable as a Celica, and the car isn't as unique either. I've got two friends with second generation Eclipses, and both of them are having various problems besides their engines right now. Both are having transmission and sensor issues. I'd stick with the Celica if I were you. ![]() -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
