Little red can, on dash

if you are running good oil and using a good oil filter you can run 6mo. or 6k miles. That's the recommended drain cycle for the amsoil that i use and it works fine. With a synthetic oil it has enough detergents in it to last that long coupled with a good filter wich usually consists of three different types of filter media. It's expensive though. About $15-20 for the filter and $5-10 a quart, but hell we only need 4 quarts.

What kind of filter are you using? I use Toyota OEM filters, which are proven to be excellent in tests for all cars(Some domestics use Toyota/Lexus oil filters.), and they cost me $8 or so per filter.
