Is it possible to get around the 200hp mark with a 5S-FE engine? or would it be smarter and cheaper just to go with a 3sgte? Im asking because in wake county, nc where i live, emissions are really strict, and the pass no cars w/ not stock engines. And if i did do a swap, would this engine be fine.

The engine is under engines, then Toyota, the Celica.

BTW: im in a mechinics program, and when im out of high school (im a junior) im going to UTI. And i know basic about engines, but i've never done a swap, but me and my dad would prolly try it in our garage, and my neighbors a mech. and i could ask him to kind of point us in the right direction.

I'd like to have a n/a all motor engine, like built up w/ no boast. What do you mean by head work? like a new head, or stock ported and polished and such?

If I meant new head... I'll say recondition your head or "new head"... ;] Headwork means flowbenched port and polish, valve job, possible valve spring upgrade (depends on camshafts) and performance camshaft regrinds. That, along with some dyno tuning can make some power...
