Got home today with my brand spanking new Sound System that costed me 2,300$.

Driving home, playing some Linkin Park: Reanimation in the CD player, bass hits real (like realllllll hard) hard (its already been playing for an hour), and the speakers and subs go completely dead. Nothing works except the head unit. Fuse blew or wire in the back of the head fell out? Any other suggestions. I'm hoping its one of those 2, if anyone else knows what it could be, please come forward before I stab someone in anger and frustration.

i worked for a car audio place in ny for a couple of years and we had dozens of people come in cuz there power wire fried there interior etc...

I've seen the same thing. Usually people put too big of a fuse or no fuse at all.

But 20 feet of 4ga can eaisly handle 600watts rms. And for an amp to produce 600 watts of power it needs 96 amps of current. If his 60 amp fuse isn't blowing he has nothing to worry about.
