I just read this months motortrend and they talked about this type of street autocrossing. It sounds pretty cool and not to expensive. Im looking for anyone with information that has done this or is currently doing this.

SCCA Page They have info on rallycross on the "Rally" tab, and info on Solo II in the "Solo" tab. It has an event calendar, and a locator to find your local club, as well as a number of Q&A type pages, to help you understand all the different kinds of racing you can do. Good luck, its a kick! What does it cost: Cheap. Generally $35 per event, depending on your local chapter (at least for Rallycross, I think Solo II is about the same) What should you do to your car: Besides buying a GT... Keep it stock. Its the easiest class to run in, and you'll get a feel for if you want to do anything to it. Also, if you do decide to go out racing an oil change/tune up/inspection by a mechanic can be useful. If you have any more questions, feel free to drop me a line, and I'll see if I can help you out.
