Ok, I am gonna get a DR CAI.
There is aluminized steel, and aluminum. I figured aluminum is better, but a friend of mine said it would heat up more than the aluminized steel. BUT, i wonder if the aluminized will rust? Also, has anybody made their own CAI and been hapy with it, and finally, who has a DR CAI, and how do you like it? |

I've got the cheap set-up for now (filter on the stock tube and it works well), but I'm planning on making a CAI. There's a how-to on the process of making one if you're good with that kind of stuff.
However, if you'd rather buy it, the Dr.CAI looks like the definite way to go. I sent an email to Dolecek about the differences. It was a while back, but I believe he said that the Aluminized Steel CAI could rust and it would be better to paint it, but for $50 more, you could have aluminum, which is also lighter (if that really matters to you). Hopefully this might help you somewhat. |
