well i just came back from doing a custom cold air intake with the help of my friend...**** was a bitch to do hehe unscrew all the bolts in the air filter box (the one that sits all the way at the bottom of ur fender) and unswrewing my splash guard as well as making my fuse box fit on top lots of cuttin heheh well here are the pics wut ya think

I'm not refering to your CAI in particular - just ones that follow the stock setup to the front fender. That fender's air is common to the front airdam on the "big smile" and to the foglight hole on the later models. As I said in bad conditions water will get in through the smile (or to a lesser extent through the foglight hole in later models) and will be sucked up into your engine. Obviously the more water is present the worse this will happen.
BTW - I wasn't trying to bad mouth your setup. I would never badmouth someone with a 6GC because you have already proven you have style by buying the car. I would not bad mouth someone who is trying to squeeze more power out of a 6GC because I think that makes you even more unique. And I would not bad mouth someone who made his own CAI because it shows you are ingenuitive. Props to you - it was just a warning from someone who actually checked this out last night as a potential setup for his own car. -------------------- ![]() |
