I'm hearing ticking sounds coming from my engine, and the faster I go the faster it ticks. (No it's not a bomb) lol
I just got the timing belt replaced and the guy said if I don't get the kit, which was $200 more, it might make squeaking noises or something. I decided I didn't wanna pay an extra $200 just for that, so I just got the belt itself. But could that be the cause of the ticking? |

What gas65 said; check your oil level. If it is normal, you may have valve clearance problems, which can be checked by feeler gauges. Our cars do not have lifters, the cams operate shimmed buckets that directly actuate the valves.
