the remote start will only work if im in the car pushing in the clutch how do you make it work

Oh, the e-brake was up, but a car that's cranking with the car in first gear has some serious power(and potential for damage/loss-of-life.)

I stand corrected. I never leave mine in gear, but it would not be fun it it slipped accidentely into gear without me knowing. I've hear of people building relays that if their cars are in gear the remote start wont work. Any ideas on how to do this? I had remote start on my Eclipse and plan to do so on the Celi within the summer.
