the remote start will only work if im in the car pushing in the clutch how do you make it work

Another option instead of running a wire between the two is to strip each and twist them together. It is the one directly above the clutch against the firewall, Its easiest to unclip it to get to it.
Turbo, Coomer had put a switch on his I think try this link it may help

Remote Start in Manual

If you do that, then it is irreversable. If you just run the wire between the two connectors then you could take it out and still start you car if the need came. Like if you were trying to sell your car for some reason and you had to tell the person that they need to be very careful not to have the car in gear when they tried to start it.
