I started converting the 96 stock clear turns to fit my 94. Its not as easy as it looks. The cutting wasn't too bad, its getting the clear to match up with the black housing so it doesn't look like crap thats the hard part. It doesn't look bad from far away, but up close you can tell where I painted the inside edges to get rid of the clear.
I still have to chrome the inside and seal it, but thats about all I have left. So far total time 2 hours. 130-330pm Est Ill try to get pics of it b4 its finished so that everyone can give their opinions. Even with the not so good up close edges, it looks tons better than the Amber. Jeremy Oh yeah, Im going to buy that black silicone sticky stuff...anyone know what its called? The 96-99 will fit in the 94-95 holes for turns. You just have to modify the brackets.
I know because I have them. But I found that 93 clear turns look better, check out my pf I have pics. I didnt like the 96+ ones because of the shape, I guess you could round off the clear part and paint the casing black or to match your car. But I tried to keep the professional made casing because of the better looking chrome. This post has been edited by Rjb23: Jul 1, 2004 - 5:38 PM |
