Can anyone help me. I want to remove the factory fitted sony double din unit in my celica and replace it with a single unit. I dont know how to get the thing out, any advice would be appreciated confused.gif

Ok, what you have to do first is remove the plastic surround from the base of the gear stick - it just un-clips. You can't remove it completely though, just loose.
Then you should be able to see the base of the centre console trim, there are 2 screws that you need to undo.
Now carefully pull the centre console trim panel forward . It is just clipped in place. The vents come off with the panel but stay attached to it.
Watch out for the hazard light and clock which will need unplugging from the console when it is half way out.
With the trim out you will now see the 4? bolts that hold the stereo in place.
