ok i've heard 3 times from ecelica people that it costs over $10000 to fabricate a 3s in a 7th gen engine bay too much modifications...of course i was crushed...but just the thought of it excites me, so now i'd like to ask the 3s pros..is it that difficult to do? are there engine shops around here that specialize in the 3sgte that could perform the actual swap?

From what I know and keep hearing, it's one of the only things the guys at ecelica.com are right about
  the 7th gen celica was never made to fit an engine from that series of engines; therefore almost everything you do is going to need to be custom. While it wouldn't be on the same level as sticking a supra TT engine into a 6th gen celica, you'd probably tear your own head off while trying to do it. and yeah. count on 10k you could probably finish such a project for 6 or 7k; but COUNT on 10k.. it's like what we tell people who are thinking about the swap; have an extra 1k laying around; chances are you're gonna need it. |
