Since the GT tranny is usable, but limits the amount of power then engine will output, im probably going to go with a GT4 tranny -
This tranny will work with my 94 GT, correct? Also how bout using the MR2 pressure plate and the 5sfe disc, work? -------------------- |

You guys are absolute morons considering you made those insulting posts without even realizing what the issue was. A guy was asking for advice on what tranny to use. I told him, while clarifying that the suggestion to do an AWD swap right away isn't feasible (the guy doesn't sound like he wants to cut up his car at any rate). I don't give a **** if I sound like your "ex gf," all I've spoken here is common sense, apparently a foreign concept to you. This THREAD wasn't about an awd conversion, it was about using the st205 tranny in a 3sgte swap which is NOT POSSIBLE WITH FWD.
Unless you mod the engine to about 300+ hp, I think the consensus was that the GT tranny would be 'fine.' That doesn't help much, but when one guy dyno'd at 500 HP with his 3sgte-swapped celica, everybody was mentioning that he should have a couple extra trannys standing by. Ask the people who've done the swap (there are quite a few actually). You can use the MR2 pressure plate. |
