for the longest time i thought it was 5x114.3 but now someone just told me its 5x100

Great questions but they have been asked countless times. The best way to find information on message boards is to use the search function. It also shows people that are inclined to help you that you care enough about THEIR time to look first. Enough of a lecture....
Search on the the term "offset" in the title of the thread only.
