Everyone's right about the Energy Suspension universal bushings...
Which brings me to today's project;

My ST sway bar bracket on the rear driver's side sheared off completely Friday night at about 23:00. I had to get the car home with an awful bludgeoning going on under the car the entire 40 mile duration. Today I spent all day on and off (had to go do some yardwork and leave to run up to the hospital because my grandfather was admitted.) working on modifying some universal Energy Suspension brackets to suit the car.

Old bracket and bushing.

New bracket and bushing. I would've done without the zerk fitting, but my local parts store only had greasable sets. If anyone needs to know, the ST rear bar is 7/8." You can also order replacement hardware from ST, but I was in a hurry.

I had to cut some metal from the new bracket to get enough clearance for the chassis bolts to line up properly. Some use of a large hammer and punches was also employed to clearance a few things to my liking. The brackets do fit, but the sides needed to be modified further so that I could get a socket over the bolts. My Dremel died while working on one bracket, so I will have to wait until next weekend to do the passenger side, which is still doing fine on the ST hardware.

Not sure how it works yet, I'll know tomorrow, but the materials seem to be much more resilient than what originally came with the bar.

Meh.
