my kinda friend has a rsx type s (really suped up) anyways he burys the needle when racing past 9 grand.
and naturally i want to do this really bad but i was wondering what i would need to do to my car to make this safe? i heard it was something about the ecu, i dont know. anyways instead of asking him how he does it i thought id ask you guys what i would need to do to be able to bury my needle? -------------------- Former: 96 GT 5 speed (i/p/e) Fate- rear ended by mack truck

but wouldnt you gain speed faster from 5800 to 7800 then shifting and being at 2000. and plus wouldnt after shifting at 7800 you start your next gear at a higher rpm and thus accelerating faster.
well looking at that statement i realize it would apply on a car by car basis. anyways say i get my car dyno tuned and it says im still making pretty good power at 7800rpm, more power than i would be making at 3800rpms. what would i need to do to make it safe to shift at 7800 rpms. anyways thanks for answering a stupid question. ![]() -------------------- Former: 96 GT 5 speed (i/p/e) Fate- rear ended by mack truck
