air freshener placement in celica Options

ok, this may sounds weird/dumb, but where is the optimal spot for an air freshener in the celica? i got one of those funky japanese air fresheners (the cartridge looking things) the other day and i put it on the center console on the flip-up ashtray next to the e-brake. thing is, i can barely smell it. anyone have anywhere better to place it? thanks. peace.

I used to have my Mishaldan Lime Air Freshner in the cup holder also, but I took it out bcus it got so hot in the car with the sun shining in from the windshield it "melted" a little indent of the can where the coin holder is. I ended up moving it to the floor. Holds up pretty well sitting up against the gas tank release.

Just make sure it's not toppled over whenever you get in and out of your car. You wouldn't want the gel on your mats.
