Induction actually is the forcing of air into your engine by use of Turbocharger or superchagers.... Nitrous is also considered induction.
Don't waste your time turboing an St of a Gt. Niether of these engines can handle the boost of a turbo, and they don't make a charger to my knowledge for these engines. The compression is too high to reach any real gains from forced induction, you would notice a difference. and It would be faster but for the money you would spend it would be better to swap a 3sgte.... you can run upto 14lbs of boost on stock intnerals. compared to 8lbs at the best on a St or Gt. That is a BIG difference. Also the lift and duration on the cams of both the St and Gt are not set up for forced induction.... They are set up for a N/A application... which it is. To see real gains from the turbo you would have to change your cams to allow for more lift and less duration. -------------------- ![]() 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |
