If youve followed my post then you well know that i shall be putting 8" subs in my door.
Other then sealing the door well with silicone would using that cotton stuff, sometimes put in sub boxes, be a bad idea? I would only use around the sub and areas of the door where the window and window mech would not stand a chance of getting tangled up with it. Is there n e thign else that i could do to make the subs in the door sound better. Notes: Planing on running two kicker comp 8"s with 80-100w each using a 2 channel amp and 8 gauge wire. |

i decided on the subs because i wanted the airmovent of the subs as well as the bass effect. I was going to put some mid bass speakers (kicker rmb8) in but felt that the air displacement of the subs would be better suited.
On top of that i already have tweeters that came with the car and in what was called the "premium 8 speaker package" which also includeds a 4 inch speaker between the 8 inch and the tweeter on the door pannel. How much air movement/effect from a sub would i get out of a mid bass speaker. I figure im getting the sub for 45 bucks each (btw its a kicker c8) |
