I know how a turbo works, but im not quite sure exactly what a Turbo timer and boost gauge really do? Also, how do people adjust the boost from the turbo?

most turbo timers operate on the ratio of rpm:time. basically, if your motor is above a certain RPM, for every unit of time it is over said RPM, the engine is kept running for another unit of time. beit seconds, or fractions of a second, etc. that is the principle most operate on...just for a little more info about them.
