I have the 5sfe. I need to know a few things about the fuel filter. Is it under the air box? Does anyone have a how to? How much time does it take to replace (estimated)? What complications are there to changing the filter? Will this improve mpg and throttle response? My GT has 183k miles and the accelerator feels a little sluggish at times. I dont think the previous owner changed the filter at all. She was driving around with a big space missing from the gasket that goes on the valve cover.

i replaced mine recently, sorry to say its a bitch, i have a gt to so this is what i did, move big hose thing to the air box, thats all u need, then for wrench sizes i forgot but the bottem is reverse threaded, also be carefull there is little parts that will fall out once u undo it, and the bottem fuel line is steel so dont bend it. this will take 30 mins depending on the person. o yea dont do it on asphault gas sprays like a bitch sometime. but it always leaks so put a pan under there. (you wont want to reuse the gas by the way), it also helps to make sure that u havent driven the car so the engine wont be hot.
