hey i'm just wondering what sways and strut braces are and what they do, i've always heard people saying to put sway bars on, but i never knew what they do, thx.

Sway bars, or anti-sway bars as they're sometimes called, are on the underside of the car. You have OEM sway bars, but they are a thin diameter, and therefore flex when cornering, which is part of what leads to body roll. Aftermarket sway bars are a thicker diameter and therefore flex less when cornering, which reduces the amount of body roll when cornering. They are a good investment in my opinion, as mine have helped my body roll considerably.
![]() Strut braces are metal bars that connect the two strut towers together in order to stiffen the upper portion of the car. I don't have a front strut brace on my car, and I don't need a rear one(since I have a coupe...the rear deck acts as bracing for the strut towers), so I can't tell you how much they affect handling. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
