My problem: I put the car in drive, accelerate hard while the car's transmission is in first then you hear the car choking in a way, like it stays in first gear & you hear the engine wanting to rev faster but drops in rpm & picks back up & repeats unless you let off the gas & then accelerate to allow the transmission to mesh into second & etc, its weird & it occurs on through all gears when you hold down the accelerator & don't let off when you hear the car nearing its shift point, any ideas as to the problem? I'm going to get the car checked out but it'd be nice to see if anyone else has had the problem & what was the solution if they fixed it.

Edit: I am not sure if anyone can understand what I'm trying to say, so I'll see if I get a chance to get a quick video uploaded somewhere of what occurs.

if you're getting any hesitation/roughness while shifting (the car lurches, etc) just do a fluid change on the transmission.. supposed to be done every 60k miles.. have you ever changed the trans fluid in your car?

also, are you sure the O/D (overdrive) OFF light isn't on? turning the O/D off prevents the car from upshifting repeatedly while you're driving. with the overdrive on it helps with your gas mileage, but also keeps trans in a higher gear all the time.
