HOw long would it take for me to build a custom shelf (not box) to replace the one in my hatch, about the same size, using fiberglass and plywood??? I guess I should ask if anyone's done it yet, but how long does fiberglass take to dry and what not, and is it really easy to work with or a B*&$H?!

IT TAKES A LONG TIME, If you want it right. wd-40 i never though of that, thanks. Its not a b$t@h, actualy kinda easy but time consuming.

my tips: get wood doweling (thin wood, looks like small pipeing) to make the shape you want, then cover it with cloth and fiberglass over that. Also make it thick and use planty of resin, the thicker it is the more you can sand, giving you plenty of room to get the exact shape and texture you want.
