Air intake is just like the regular big boxed intake (for our cars), the cold air intake is like they said, it gets cold air by trying to get its air away from the engine & closer to fresh air instead of the heated air from under the hood.

Every aftermarket intake you can get for our cars isn't boxed anymore, it's short RAM style.. and mine's nice and shiny with a heatshield! woooooo .05hp!

I was trying to use the celica's stock intake to compare to a CAI.

But you didn't mention the shinyness

Edit: Plus CAI's are super shiny which can give upto 70HP depending on level of shine.
