![]() ![]() ![]() Ok do you see the open port on the bottom of the wastegate?? is something suppose to screw into that or what?? Also that rod going from the compressor housing to the other port in the bottom of the waste gate, whats that for or do?? I know, I feel like an idiot asking but i dont know, sorry.. Thanks |

that is not a port for the BOV that, most likely, is there for some nissan boost sensor/controler, to read the boost pressure, or bleed pressure away from the actuator to allow for more boost the BOV needs a vacuum line from the intake manifold, after the throttle body. if you hooked the BOV to the actuator for the wastegate, it would never let off. the rod that has a vacuum line on it going to the actuator is the signal line. once enough boost is made, it forces the actuator to extend its arm, which is connected to the internal wastegate on that turbo you have pictured, allowing exhaust to bypass the turbine and limit the amount of boost the turbo will make. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition
