Just threw mine under there today for the first time to check for clearance. I'm using a Soundstream refrence 500 and there is room but if the front seat isn't all the way back the amp shows. The fact that I never have anyone in back means this isn't a problem.
I'm gonna run the power cable down the left side of the car. Over the left wheel then into the car through a grommet in the drivers kick panel. There is plenty of room in the left door sill for wire. Ground the amp to one of the seat mounting bolts just clean off the paint first for a good ground. RCA's down the center consule. Speaker wire can go down the left or right down the middle under the carpet. Choice is yours. For mounting the amp I would use bolts with the bolt head on the bottom of the car. Plan where you will drill so you don't hit anything. Use washers under the nuts so you don't scratch the amp. Last step is to seal over the bolt heads to prevent it from rusting. |
