Tires and Wheels help, What to buy or stay away from Options

I have no clue whats a good brand of tire and/or wheel, what size works best with my celica 97 st, etc...

i have looked on tire rack and it says it can fit up to an 18", however, i doubt thats the 'best' fit... and what brand(s) of wheels should i be focusing on?

i've also read the tire and wheel bible, so I know the theories and basics behind tires/wheels, i just need some guidance with real-life experience and suggestions... preferibly if you've had/tried out a certain brand and under certain conditions...

i won't be using them in the winter, so its not a problem.

rain is tho, as im in PA, the state of rain... but, no matter what tire i have, i doubt i'd drive like an idiot..

help please.

Get some 17's with 215/45/17 tires. I have nanking, which is not the best of brands but have had no problems in rain out of them at all.
