I heard from a topic about a month ago that a boosted convertable is not a very good idea because the frame is weak and can't handle the extra torque say around 8PSI. Is this true? Before I start saving for a turbo/supercharger kit, I just want to know will a convertable hold up to the extra power? If it won't then i'll just go show with some simple bolt ons.

After waiting about 80 days, I am picking up my 3sgte swapped convertible Friday. I believe I am the only one that regularly posts on this site that has (will have) a boosted convertible. DG has a hatch. There are two 3sgte powered 5th gen that members of celica.net own. One has a 4 pt roll cage though. -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |
