I heard from a topic about a month ago that a boosted convertable is not a very good idea because the frame is weak and can't handle the extra torque say around 8PSI. Is this true? Before I start saving for a turbo/supercharger kit, I just want to know will a convertable hold up to the extra power? If it won't then i'll just go show with some simple bolt ons.

I'm not planning on swapping a motor. I have a 5sfe with 74800miles on it. I was planning on doing a custom turbo. Running around maybe 5PSI on daily and 8-10PSI on random races with some friends of mine. Maybe ungradeing the pistons and rods. |
