Ok i am getting confused as to what struts are, i've searched but couldn't see what they were talking about cuz the links to the pics were dead...so this is what i found.
our cars have struts...are they all the way around?? Is this a Strut ![]() So would it be correct to say that a strut is a combination of a Shock and Springs. Isn't that the same thing as a Coilover expect that its adjustable? If i got coilovers do i still need shocks?? Can i just buy Springs and Shocks and be done with it or do i need something else to hold the shock to the springs?? sorry for the dumb question, but i need to know. Thanks |

Yes.
If you buy coilovers, you should upgrade your struts, IMO. All you will need is a set of springs/coilover kit and the struts; the springs are held in place by the strut top under their own tension. |
