Like the topic says. This morning when I went to start up my car to go to school, I cn't hear my muffler. WTF?? Is there something loose. Its not making any noise. Sounds like stock. I just got the universal muffler installed about 2 weeks ago.

this makes no sense to me...
any exhaust should make noise. if you put aftermarket you are killing restriction and not bouncing the sound waves into eachother to deminish them into a low sound. if a something went front w/ the muffler(hole or whatnot) there should be a deep sound...this is kinda why a lot of old beater cars sound like they're packing something, they get a hole in the muffler from backing into a slope or w/e and puncture the muffler. if you only installed an aftermarket i dont know what else could happen. if they didn't install it properly and there is a leak from the piping to the muffler i would imagine it to get a bit quester, unless a hole...then louder? basically, get a gReddy SP2 cat-back, or get a name-brand universal, and get some 2.25" piping made...mendrel bent -------------------- ![]() |
