I was wondering if putting a FMIC on a non turbo engine would add any hp at all. I've only seen ICs on turboed cars, but why would they not cool the air more on a N/A car as well?

I highly doubt that an intercooler would cool an N/A charge at all. The only reason it is effective on a turbo engine is because the air is pressurized and is being forced agains the fins and tubes of the intercooler. In an N/A the air will only be gliding through... either way an intercooler will only harm performance... that is alot of extra unneeded tubing that air has to be forced through. |
