ok, i already thinking about this for long time... I bought SSteel pipes and elbows for my IC piping, but this weekend after puting everything together i saw that the pipes are way heavy... I was thinking about polishing them, but now i got a new idea...
What if i made all the IC piping from CF or Kevlar? I have buntch of those materials. I thought that piping would be lite, and strong. Is there any disatvantage of CF over the Steel? Any sugestions would be cool... -------------------- Ex celica owner - just a guy from other side of the pond...

yea carbon fiber would work perfectly.. i saw a 240 with a motor swap with full carbon fiber piping..
the good thing about carbon fiber is it doesn't hold heat well, and it doesnt stretch and the lightness. i dont think the carbon fiber would need to be to thick, cuz the rubber joints will give before the carbon fiber pipe will burst.. it would be insane if u made the whole thing one single pipe.. no joints at all.. can u get different colored carbon fiber like those red carbon fiber hoods? |
