so i got a set of autometer gauges that im trying to change to blue. ive tried buying blue 194 bulbs and even using blue rubber overlays, but nothing ever looks right. the overlays are too dark and the bulbs fade quickly and change color. anyone have any luck with changing their gauges to blue?

LED's are made in all kinds of different brightnesses. I would use LED's if there is a space problem to fitting in 194's (i.e. climate control buttons) but replacing the boost guage bulbs would be a heck of lot easier with 194's since thats what is in there. Thats why I recommend trying the xenon bulbs. If it doesn't work, you're only out $3 and virtually no time.
