just replaced my old t3 with a similar model, because of shaft play and clicking noise. so i drove around for about a week fully stock. had no problems what so ever. so i put on the new turbo, and im getting the clicking noise once again, as well as the same old problems, smoke coming out the back, and extreme oil leaking. none of these problems existed while it was on stock. also its a brand new turbo. if anyone can help me i would really appreciate it. i work 60 hours a week plus go to school 16 hours, so i really need this problem resolved. thanks

Synthetic, it doesnt CAUSE leaks, but the oil can penetrate more than standard oil. Synthetic protects better and breaks down slower, its a give and take relationship.
As for the turbo, nothing should be clicking, take the intake off and start spinning the compressor wheel, check for shaft play and make sure the fins arent touching the housing. -------------------- |
