Is it possible to go to an autoparts store and just get all the parts new (not really worried about the price), or am i going to have to find a rear brake assembly off of a 6th gen gt if i can get one.

You probably won't be able to get the rear hubs though... nor the e-brake drum assembly, and other little parts. Just go to the junkyard. I'm pretty certain the 4th and 5th gen rears will swap in.
