An ST is preferable, rather high mileage is expected at this price, as is cosmetic problems.
I've had a 4th gen st, a 5th gen gt, now a 4th gen alltrac (the good car), and also a ae86 corolla gt-s. so i'm a toyota guy. i just got a hankerin to have a 6th gen when i saw one on ebay for 1k, but it was almost over so i didn't have time to find out about it (very little info listed) and i also am in sharp need of a work/school/winter car. and i can't stand the idea of getting a non-fun car to drive for any purpose. anyway, if anyone has one needing a little work but still in good driving condition, or just needing some engine work that isn't major. let me know! thanks -------------------- -1994 celica st 5-speed- stock (sold)

Unless you get very lucky you're not going to find a 6 gen in "driving condidtion" for 2k or under, especially in a 5spd. I'd say to shoot around 3,500 or less.
