My Celi is about to hit 112k miles and it's already 10 years old. I think in the spring I'm gonna have about $1500 - $1700 saved up, which is just about enough for ummm....a paintjob and maybe rims? lol. I don't really race it so I think any major performance mods are out of the question. My options are to spend the money on this car and make it look nice or...I could sell it and use the money to buy another car, but I think I'm too attached to my Celica to do it lol.

If you have any suggestions they would be welcome. If not, thanks for reading anyway biggrin.gif.

P.S. What are some cheap(er) ways to add some hp in the neighborhood of $400-500? And just curious, how much would a more performant engine cost? Please include labor lol

Yeah, I didn't think it was worth investing money in performance upgrades either, especially since it's an older engine...The ride/handling is not bad so I don't know if I want to change the whole suspension.
I would like to lower my car a little though so I'll ask for some advice from those who have gotten springs: what's a good brand that won't make the ride harsh over bumps and potholes while providing good handling? (in this area the roads leave something to be desired).
As for wheels, I don't think I'll go bigger than 16's b/c I don't think they would look that good on my car. Thanks for the comments so far biggrin.gif.

well we have a wonderful suspension forum that would be glad to answer all of your suspension needs. And if you think the car handles nice now, wait til your done. Its an addiction that cannot be stopped. I NEED MORE MODS.

I went for style, so I'm low, ride harsh, and have 19's. So, asking me about softness and good rims/tires for 16's isn't my thing. But if I remember right, someone just wrote a post about good tires for 16's in the suspension forum. W
