Just curious if anyone knows where to get a cover for under the hood. If you look at Chucho's pics, under his hood he has a black cover thing that hides all the reinforcements and stuff. Anybody know??

Hey Flip, you car has a working scoop right? Why would you want it? Also, that pad holds in massive heat. Mines comming off once I begin the work on my hood.

Well I would still make the scoop functional by just cutting the insulation. The reason I want it, is so that I don't have to spray all up under the hood with the candy orange. That stuff is expensive. That'd be like spending another $200 on the paint + my labor to do it. So I'd like to just spray the outer edge of the hood and cover the rest with the mat.

This is actually a pretty easy fix. Dont use the mat, but spray the hood gloss black. Gloss black is cheap, it'll still look great if they hood is opened and you dont have that mat holding in all that heat. I know if I was spending money on a Kandy color, I wouldn't spray the bay or under the hood. Black underhood is still classy in my opinion.

Edit: Just the underhood, the top of the hood is still Orange
