First thing u gotta do is HOMEWORK.
Read every single post that you can find on this swap, and believe me, they're alot out there. If you have an ST - then u got more work in front of u than with a GT, but its still not that difficult. You can find engines all the time on Ebay, but i wouldnt recommend it unless its coming from an importer, and read up on the importer. They dont always give u everything u need, and its tough getting all the right parts. If you have the money, get a front clip. U got everything u need right there but its a hefty chunk of change. I could go on and on, i also have alot of questions still since im buying my engine within 2 weeks. If u have an ST - ur going to need a tranny also. GT's will hold if they're not torn up and ur not over 250hp. What Gen are u getting?(I, III, or III) JDM or USDM? Clutch, ecu, timing belts, gaskets, manifolds, water pump, fuel pump. blah blah blah. If u have the GT those stock parts will probably run fine with it. To cut this short - read up - u'll learn alot - and can save u alot of time. -------------------- |
