I am swapping a 3s-gte st185 engine in my 1997 Toyota Celica ST A200 and i was wondering whether to get a gt transmission or a camry transmission. If anyone could give me advise that would be great, thanks.

I know that with the Corolla, there's a problem using the MR2 tranny because the shifting linkage where the cables connect is on the wrong side. They can be switched but it's a lot of work. Wouldn't it be better to use the V6 Camry tranny then? He could always add a Quaife down the road.
Or will the the 3SGTE MR2 tranny work just fine? This post has been edited by raven_101: Oct 20, 2004 - 8:04 PM -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |
