Well guys I was ready to do a 3SGTE swap in my '94 Celica ST (auto)
but when I received the estimate my head kind of buzzed. Right now I have a midly modded car, bunch of bolt ons and trigger happy with the NOS. All_Show_No_Go bodykit/styling. But the car is still not fast enough. I'm also owner of 95 Honda Civic EX with B16A3 and bolt ons. Well not to bore you with details, lets just get down to the price of the actuall automatic-to-manual and 7afe-to-3sgte SWAP!!! -3sgte swap (anywhere from 200hp to 240hp - depending on year) -MR2 or Celi GT 5-speed manual trans (expensive - automatic conversion) -wiring and hard-to-find parts -labor : equals out to anywhere from $6,300 to $6,900 !!! Well since that equals out to almost 7 thousand dollars I was thinking to putting that cash in my 95 Civic (b16), I will not have the looks with the Civic but I'll have the speed !!! TELL ME WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK .... WHAT SHOULD I DO...... This post has been edited by zigy: Mar 18, 2003 - 12:50 AM |

I think they were mad because of the "civics are more reliable than celicas" statement. Though I think it's a throw-up between the two..zigy you have to relize that people here including me, are going to give the nod to the celica...I mean comon...I would go for the sell the civic plan..I mean who really needs two cars..Though it would be cool to have a racing..and a crusing separate cars...no money for that though, for me...however it is nice to hear of a civic that has more work on the engine then the exterior..good job at least for that...
