Hey there ive been looking at the stock airbox. It looks as if it gets fed air thats sucked in through a scoop in the front bumper. I have a 95 and i know that the front bumber on the 96 and up is diffrent and as such the scoop on my car could not go on a 96+ as it would end up where the fog light is supose to be.

If infact the air on a 94-95 celica is sucked in through a scoop in the corner of the front bumber then how is it set up on the 96+.

Between the airbox and the pipe/intake mouth is a thing that captures any water that may be injested.

If water got as far as your airbox, that thing wouldn't stop it.

It's purpose is actually a resonator- makes your intake quieter.

Doesn't have anything to do with sand, water, etc
